Stockholm Syndrome Ver 10 by Muse Muse - Stockholm Syndrome ver 10 bass tab Muse Stockholm Syndrome Absolution Chris Wolstenholme Im sick and tired of seeing wrong tabs for this, im not saying this is 100% accurate But im pretty confident itll be the most accurate one up here Anyway, The guitar parts played (as is the bass) in drop D so I tabbed out the guitar intro on bass (as its exactly the same notes): G:------------------------------------------:-----------------------------------------: D:-12-0-13-0-12-0-10-12-0-0-13-0-12-0-10-12-:-0-0-13-0-12-0-10-12-0-0-13-0-16h17p16-0-: A:------------------------------------------:-----------------------------------------: D:------------------------------------------:-----------------------------------------: G:------------------------------------------:-------------------------------------------: D:-12-0-13-0-12-0-10-12-0-0-13-0-12-0-10-12-:-0---3*-0-3*-3*-3*-0-3*-3*-3*-0-3*-3*-3*-0-: A:------------------------------------------:-------------------------------------------: D:------------------------------------------:-------------------------------------------: * = Harmonic found halfway between frets 2 and 3 Now the actual bass tab, this is played very fast, on some live vids ive seen chris use a pick, but studio its fingerstyle, so prepare to hurt your hand: Standard 4/4 time, about 120 tempo, but you can figure that out Intro: G:---------------: G:---------------: D:---------------: D:---------------: A:---------------: x2 A:-5(x32)--------: D:-12/3----0-----: D:--------2(x32)-: Verse (All 16'th Notes): G:-------------------------------------: For the D(5) and and Last E (7) D:-------------------------------------: You'll probably find it easier to A:-5(x80)-7(x16)-8(x16)-9(x32)-7(x112)-: x2 Count 5 lots of 16 and 7 lots 16 respectively D:-------------------------------------: Pre-Chorus (The F (3) is all 8'th notes): G:-----------------------: D:-----------------------: A:-0000------------------: D:------X-X-5--4--3(x32)-: I know the guitar defenitely plays the dead notes I can't hear wheter the bass does..... The dead notes sound good anyway and the rest is right Chorus (All 8'th notes): G:----------------------------------------------------: D:----------------------------------------------------: The last slide is optional A:----------------------------------------------------: But i think it sounds good D:-3(x16)-2(x16)-0(x28)/73(x16)-2(x16)-0(x16)/9(x16)-: Post-Chorus (Triplet pattern is 16'th,16'th,8'th): G:---------------------------------------------: D:---------------------------------------------: A:---------------------------------------------: D:-333-333-666-666-777-777-101010-111111-12/3--: 11's Verse again but only play once Pre-chorus 2: G:-----------------------: The 12/3 is just a guess, it's a fast slide, D:-----------------------: And to be honest any slide down from about 12'th A:-----------------------: Fret sounds good, so no complaints about this please.....:p D:-12/3-X-X-5--4--3(x32)-: Chorus again Post chorus again Solo (all 16'th notes): G:----------------------------------------------------------: D:----------------------------------------------------------: A:-5(x32)-3(x32)-5(x32)-8(x32)-8(x16)-7(x16)-5(x32)-12(x48)-: D:----------------------------------------------------------: Pre-Chorus 3 : G:--------------: D:--------------: A:--------------: D:-X-X-X-X-5--4-: Chorus again Post-chorus 2: G:---------------------------------------: D:---------------------------------------: x2 A:---------------------------------------: D:-333-333-666-666-777-777-101010-111111-: (3 10's and 11's) Outro (all 8'th notes): G:---------------------: D:---------------------: A:---------------------: x3 D:-0-0-13-0-12-0-10-12-: G:---------------------: D:---------------------: A:---------------------: D:-0-0-13-0-12/7-12/7--: G:---------------------: D:---------------------: A:---------------------: x4 D:-0-0-13-0-12-0-10-12-: G:---------------------: D:---------------------: A:---------------------: D:-0~------------------: He uses Distortion at points, I'm sure you can figure out when, and if you dont have disto Aggressive fingerpicking will work just aswell. This song improved my right hand tehcnique no end, speed, accuracy, stamina, it's great for all three. Well there it is, I'm not sure about some parts, and I realize it's wordy, but it sounds accurate to me and the Outro IS accurate, it's just the second part of the guitar riff played over and over with that slide fill, NOT the whole guitar riff If you're gonna rate low, at least leave a comment on whats wrong.......... Any comments mail me: [email protected] Peace out
